Bustier Sewing Pattern N.86
Bustier Sewing Pattern N.86
Share
This beginner-level digital sewing pattern is perfect for crafting a stylish and versatile strapless bustier top. It has a front button closure, which can be easily relocated to the center back. This clothing item is perfect for hot weather. You can wear it by itself or over your preferred shirts and blouses. Make yours out of fabric scraps or upcycle old garments. Snap fasteners are an alternative to buttons for those with less confidence sewing buttonholes.
Available in Italian sizes from 36 to 54. The seam allowances are included and visible.
I recommend checking the size chart and choosing the size based on your measurements.
For this sewing project you will need the following materials:
- 0.3 m or 0.4 yd of any medium or heavyweight woven fabric (width 140 cm – 55’’). For example, cotton, denim, gabardine, linen, poplin, canvas, faux leather, Duchesse, taffeta, etc.
- Lining - about 0,3 m or 0,4 yd;
- Thread;
- A scrap of light or medium weight fusible interfacing about 0,3 m or 0,3 yd (width 140 cm – 55’’);
- Seam Tape Interfacing (or strips of fusible interfacing);
- five regular buttons or snap fasteners Ø from 1,4 cm to 2,2 cm;
- hemming web (optional but recommended).
And the following tools: Sewing machine, scissors, pins, needle, iron, ironing board, buttonhole presser foot (optional if you use snap fasteners).
